The Firebird / Dvořák Serenade

Mysterious and seductive, The Firebird is a world-famous ballet about an adventuresome prince who happens upon trouble and snares a mystical female creature to help him outwit an evil sorcerer and find true love. Fall under the Firebird’s spell while enjoying a live performance of composer Igor Stravinsky’s bewitching score by the Austin Symphony Orchestra. This mesmerizing work by Ballet Austin Artistic Director Stephen Mills is paired with a contemporary wonder by quintessential New York choreographer Lar Lubovitch. His Dvořák Serenade is as soft and undulating as fine silk in a breeze and a lovely complement to this magical combination of music and dance.
